I worked at Starcom MediaVest full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -cafe on 2nd floor
    -Beer on Thurs
    -Cubicles vs. opening seating plan

    Cons

I know what your thinking. I am looking to move from my current agency to Starcom for a promotion/more money. Just don't. It's the worst. You will have no guidance, help and no management. The office is falling apart and nothing is updated. No one talks to each other as each team sits with each other on different floors. There are so many other great agencies out there that are winning business, just not Starcom. It's probably the WORST out of the big 6...Money is not worth the misery here.

    Advice to Management

    good luck

I worked at Starcom MediaVest full-time

    Pros

    Great people, great office environment

    Cons

The worst management team ever. Very little experience in field / offer minimal guidance. It's all about making money for the agency and less so about supporting client objectives.

    Advice to Management

Hire appropriately and stop lying to your clients.

I worked at Starcom MediaVest full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good client roster
    - Solid training for associates
    - Good perks

    Cons

    - Work/Life balance can be a challenge
    - Bigger accounts are just ridiculously top heavy. More VP and directors than associates and supervisors. It makes it challenging to get things done, especially since beyond spreading lower level employees thin it adds more redtape to already an unnecessarily long decision process.
    - Lack of a training process for employees joining the company at a supervisor position or above

    - Let s be honest your happiness will highly depend on which team you are on.

    Advice to Management

Do you really need more directors and VP than associates and supervisors?
Try to promote fairly. Every promotion seems based mostly on seniority rather than ability.
