I have been working at Starcom USA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company culture and benefits. Work hard play hard mentality. Fun collaborative team members. Company is trying hard to fight biases and inequality between gender, sexual preferences, races

    Cons

Internal promotion is hard to get past the associate director level and pay raise are not happening systematically even though your performance review is on target/above average. People tend to be promoted and get a higher salary when they move to a competitive agency. Very long work hours at times...

    Advice to Management

Take good care of your employees and make sure they don't feel frustrated (not getting promoted, no salary raise) as we see some fast turnover in certain teams. Need more transparency in terms of how to get promoted and get salary raise other than threatening with another job offer...

I worked at Starcom USA full-time

    Pros

Starcom had an enjoyable atmosphere, one similar to other agencies. There were many young professionals. Employees worked hard, but also could have fun. Pay was decent.

    Cons

The change to an open floor plan was difficult. There was no privacy and it became too loud at many times to focus.

I have been working at Starcom USA as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    - good benefits, extended to contractors as a FTE has (as much as possible)
    - great time off. 10 for contractors, 19 for FTE. and the holiday schedule is great
    - I haven't experienced workplace politics and people are fun / friendly
    - many women in leadership and diverse workforce
    - flexible to work from home when you need to
    - they like to do a contract-to-hire in one year for most everyone.

    Cons

    - pay is a little below what I want, but with good work they have recognized I have received two salary raises within a year
    - it's an agency. clients can be fussy. but the people you work with make it worth it
