    Pros

Good experience in media planning and buying Opportunities to work globally Teams are working on innovative projects with household name clients.

    Pros

    - Fun environment to work in, great people - Good benefits and lots of perks

    Cons

    - Always a lot of work to be done and teams are often overstretched; long hours and lots of stress - Promotions aren't always based on highest/strongest performance; usually goes to whoever happens to be in the right place at the right time or who knows the hiring manager

Lots of work, lots of play

Mar 13, 2014 - Media Supervisor in Chicago, IL
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

If you're in activation (aka "Deliver") you get lots of interaction with the sales community meaning fun parties, outings, and gifts from vendors. Great 1st job out of college - you will learn a lot from the training programs Starcom offers TONs of vacation time and "unlimited" sick days

    Cons

Always understaffed - no matter what team - so be prepared to work a lot of long hours and not have a good work/life balance. You might work 60+ hours a week, and maybe some time on the weekends. Compared to other agencies the pay isn't great (especially since the hours suck) Team management is hit or miss - some are great and know the entire team by name and some you rarely see around the office
