    Amazing Company

    Pros

Pros The moment begins working at Starlight Group, they immediately know something is different here. There is a positive energy within Slack and all the employees walking about them. This was the feeling I had six months ago when I joined Starlight Group, and still reflects my feelings today. These people practice what they preach...they are delivering platforms and tools to build a direct response powerhouse.

    Cons

Particularly as of late, Starlight Group has been subject to some negative naysayers. While some of it may be deserved, a lot of it feels sensationalist as a result of payment processing issues the business halted and is being revived by mgmt.

Larby Amirouche is a con man, with an inflated ego

    Pros

Remote work. That’s really it. No other positives.

    Cons

Larby was very proud of himself for the business model that he had set up for starlight group in regards to American science CBD, stating to us it was similar to a gun see rancour type of secret authorization fine print where customers would accidentally sign up for monthly shipments of some thing they intended to only purchase once, or would automatically subscribe them to a service that they had claimed was a free trial. When they were setting up the customer care line, I remember accessing the audio files that were shared in the slack group to hear that they were intentionally misleading customers who had claims that the pain relief benefits that the CBD had promised to give for being treated like a medical device instead of a mild anti-inflammatory supplementation. They also made it nearly impossible to actually cancel anything off of the credit card usually resulting in customers having to do chargebacks on their cards through their card companies, or scrapping the card altogether. These are not inflated claims either unlike the clearly false post made by an anonymous employee with a five star rating. Larby has been known to pay different small news outlets and blogs to frame him in a certain light that makes him seem like this all powerful, all intelligent master entrepreneur when in reality he is well known for starting businesses he cannot finish, with failing business models that only steal from the customers they intend to sell to, and the employees that’s so graciously work for this sociopath. The compensation it was OK, but the expectations of ours were absolutely ridiculous. If you weren’t on line exactly when they needed you minute for a minute from 7 AM to 7 PM sometimes into the deep evening like 10 PM, you get ripped a new one just for having any other sort of work life balance. I remember nearly starving to death because of just how much was expected of us, with no intended breaks seeming to be possible for the employees. It might’ve been work from home, but it was not flexible at all. Not for the executive assistance at least. The expectation was nearly inhumane. He is a pay to play fake entrepreneur, with only the worst intentions at heart. Don’t trust him, don’t work for him, don’t talk to him, don’t associate with him.

    Competitive Environment, Rational Approach

    Pros

Great potential for new beginners as they may learn new things. Great competitive environment, you grow as you perform. Rational approach - if you have a reason for what and why you want to do, then even the CEO (Larby Amirouche) will listen.

    Cons

Most of the jobs are on remote. People who haven't worked remotely in the past may find it a challenge to work there. But, then, seeing the present COVID19 pandemic situation, everyone should learn about remote working.

    Missed Payment, dodgy CEO

    Pros

    Flexible working hours were allowed

    Cons

Payment was really terrible. In fact at the time we were let go, the company owed us unpaid compensation which they never bothered to settle. Larby Amirouche, the CEO, was particularly dodgy and you always go the feeling you were being scammed for free work.

Be careful before working with Larby Amirouche

    Pros

None really, you'll be lucky to get paid in full for your work

    Cons

Besides the fact that many employees were not paid on time and many were fired on the spot with no notice whatsoever, it should be noted that the founder Larby Amirouche has had been involved in many lawsuits in the past with many of his previous ventures. You can try Googling "MADIGAN FILES LAWSUITS AGAINST ACAI BERRY COMPANIES" or "Goddard reaches settlement with supplement company" to get an idea. Larby has routinely in the past been involved in providing "free samples" of the product only to charge users' credit cards and then have his helpline set up in a manner that the customer wouldn't be able to get through to the company to get the charge reversed. It should be evident to any potential employee after going through all the reviews on Glassdoor what processes and policies Larby's companies typically follow. If you choose to work for him, do not expect to be paid in full ever. It is also very likely that he'll make you work crazy hours and if you protest even a little bit you risk being fired on the spot with no notice whatsoever.

    Pros

There are no pros at all for working at this company

    Cons

    - Payments were never on time - People couldn't ask why were the payments delayed without risk of getting fired on the spot - Over 50 people were let go off after a week of abuses from management and nobody has been paid since - Made people work over 12 hours a day each day and no bonuses or wage were paid - Falsely advertising their American Science CBD product, on the site they claimed they offered a free sample but in reality they charged and sent 5 bottles to each customer, denied to refund anyone that complained - CEO Larby S Amirouche ran to Colombia after being formally accused and sued
