I have been working at Stars Behavioral Health Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coworks have your back, since you basically live at at the PHF they become like family. Since I am a mom having the option to have a PM shift is nice. Management is easy to talk to.

    Cons

No growth opportunity at the PHF. Employees are overworked and underpaid. Fast burn out

I have been working at Stars Behavioral Health Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

First, for a large company with about 30 offices statewide, there is strong operational management and smart leadership at the top. Cons

Since there are many different offices throughout California, each one is managed by a local team, so there are differences in how things are done. The pace can be very fast sometimes, and productivity is monitored for the clinical positions. Some days are stressful, as the company is growing rapidly, but in the end, it feels satisfying to be part of it all.

The employees are mostly decent people. Corporate is very organized but hands off to the local areas.

The Directors and only going to be supportive if you kiss there butt unfortunately. No upward mobility if you don't do the above. If you don't kiss.....you won't get far.

    Advice to Management

    Change the leadership

It is disappointing to see this former employee’s comments about the leadership at this program in our East Region. It is true that our corporate structure is decentralized (allowing for quick decision-making at the different locations throughout the state.) However there are nonetheless ...
