I have been working at Stars Behavioral Health Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Employees help each other out, friendly and welcoming employees, serving populations in need, outside trainings, some teams work well together, good resources provided by other employees-mentor and support new staff

    Cons

Shocked at the lack of professionalism- upper management has poor leadership skills to develop and unite this organization, over 35 people have left under new management, building is shabby and outdated, only certain people are held accountable and the encounters are usually negative

    Advice to Management

    Listen to staff

    Stars Behavioral Health Group Response

    December 19, 2016Director of Communications

Thank you for these important comments. We agree that Stars Community Services’ staff are great at supporting each other and working as a team. And we also agree that staff morale has been lower in 2016. Stars had a change in Administrator and several key managers this year and ...

I worked at Stars Behavioral Health Group for more than a year

    Pros

This agency has good benefits. The schedule to see patients is flexible and you can do the DMH paperwork at your home with the laptop that they provide to you. You get a lot of training.

    Cons

The agency has been restructuring areas and programs for a long time and your teams, patients, and supervisors change constantly. Upper management has good intentions, but fails to see the needs of the employees. Many emplooyees quit and you are given double the number of patients that you should have to cover up for them. The paperwork (DMH) takes over your life. The work is...

    Advice to Management

Upper management has good intentions, but they don't care about burning out the teams when they are low in employees. They are focused in productivity and not in quality of care.

    Stars Behavioral Health Group Response

    October 10, 2016Director of Communications

SBHG has continuously grown to serve more clients and families throughout the company’s 28-year history. This former employee’s experience seems to have been impacted by a period of change that has taken place recently at this particular program. Regrettably, sometimes our managers ...

I worked at Stars Behavioral Health Group full-time

    Pros

Depending on the program, there is an increased sense of autonomy and flexibility. Coworkers can become friends if you get in with the right clique.

    Cons

Pay sucks. Management only cares about productivity and money. An emphasis on quantity of services and no discussion what so ever on quality. Very clique oriented and upper management loves to start gossip and talk trash about their employees. Major ethical and legal violations.
