I have been working at State Street as an intern

    Pros

Nice facility and the employees are great! The small teams are easy to learn in and they offer many opportunities for you to learn about different departments.

    Cons

You are an intern so your knowledge limits some of what you can do and some of the tasks are rather boring but need to be done.

I worked at State Street as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

good networking options, and affinity groups are great way to socialize across organizations. if in Boston, headquarters is energetic, busy and exciting to a young professional.

    Cons

hard to move internally, pay could be better, if contract to perm, it takes forever, and they low ball you because they are "giving" you benefits.

    Advice to Management

theres a lot of young diverse talent that are worth your time to train and develop into bigger roles. paying external firms to fill full-time positions doesn't always make sense.

    Advice to Management

Delegate more tasks to new employees. Most new employees are capable of doing the tasks but it is hard for management to find time to show newer employees how.
