I have been working at State Street full-time

    Pros

I work in a small office that researches capital allocation patterns. Great people, flexible schedule, interesting work, helpful management.

    Cons

I'm told pay is comparatively low. Bonuses seem to be a smaller percentage of salary than in other companies and/or for someone involved in asset allocation decisions.

    Advice to Management

Raise bonuses, better health insurance options or increase HAS contributions, create better performance metrics.

I have been working at State Street full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexibility, especially working from home option is the best part of the job. The benefits overall are good along with decent vacation.
Ability to work with global work force and different time zones is a plus some times.

    Cons

Dealing with global time zones and global work force adds to oversight by management. It requires additional coordination for the management and tracing the ownership team for resolving the problem.

    Advice to Management

Too much distribution of teamsacross the globe loses the ownership of the problem by any one team

I worked at State Street full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Various opportunities within the company.
    Internal Mobility is very encouraged
Tuition reimbursement even though not much still helps
The diverse work force is very vibrant

    Cons

Overworked due to the company not filling up open positions
Pay not as competitive compared to the competitors
    Low bonus pay
    Very high turn over rate

    Advice to Management

The management should try and be more engaging with the employees. It seems there is a gap between the two groups.
