I have been working at State of Arizona full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The benefits are definitely great. The pay is decent nothing to write home about though. Good work life balance. Not too demanding.

    Cons

Raises are few and far between. No real review process for progression. The technology division lacks Direction honest goals with service-level objectives. Additional training to stay relevant has been difficult. Usually have a minimum number of staff. Which makes it hard to keep it pays and plan ahead.

    Advice to Management

Technology needs to take a priority because this is what supports the agency and a very basic level and without it things would come to a slow crawl. After many management changes you see the same mistakes being made no one really learns from the previous groups. They don't want to hear what the other groups did because it's them doing it and they know they can be successful even though it's the same mistakes. Rumors tend to run the opinions not based in fact.
