    Pros

Great benefits, great pay, great time off.

    Cons

Supervisors are hit and miss. Politics can be frustrating. Always the chance of being raped or killed.. Or raped and then killed... Or killed and then raped...

    Advice to Management

Make associates degree minimum requirement for Sgt and bachelor's minimum for Lt. and above. Fire the criminals. Reward those who do right.

I have been working at State of Arizona full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great group of folks to work with. The benefits (medical/retirement) are really good.

    Cons

Difficult to advance because there is no internal structure for job advancement.

    Advice to Management

Need internal paths to promotion. Very difficult to move up, no real ladder exists and causes employees to shift around agencies needlessly.
