    Pros

Patients (they have their issues but majority are well behaved after their meds get regulated), co-workers (sometimes), location (its close to the mall at least).

    Cons

Short Staff, Shifts (no weekend only option, no 8 hour only option, no 10 hour only option), no professional ice cleaning service for staff and patient ice machines, parking (sorry I wont ever park are rocks and dirt when paved spaces are available to the employees who make way more than I do they can afford to replace their tires I can not).

    Advice to Management

Paved parking for all staff and hire professionals to clean machines with proper food grade cleaning products, have housekeeping clean doors and door handles.

    Cons

Increases are few and far; in some cases you can be overloaded due to budget restraints

    Advice to Management

I have been working at State of Arkansas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and multiple days off, including paid military time off even if have military medical appointment.

    Cons

If you like your work, the pay more than likely will not be worth your value. No promotions, you just have to fine another job in he State to get the pay you are looking for. Its not called a promotion. Pay standards are from 2009. No raise since then,

    Advice to Management

Instigate the legislature to beef up the budget to retain quality staff. The pay is less as a State employee, than in private sector. State is loosing too many good employees because of pay and less promotion or merit increases.
