    Pros

    Excellent benefits (health insurance, pto), stable schedule, comfortable workspace, lots of growth potential. Leniency with sick days and lateness. Cool badges.

    Cons

    Office politics, strict policies on self expression (i.e. dress code, tattoos, hair color/style), negativity ang gossip from coworkers, dealing with the public.

    Great health benefits for a family

    Cons

    Employees are afraid to speak up about issues they have. They can be fired for no reason or any reason because everyone works at the pleasure of the State Attorney. Employees felt their employment was more secure in previous administrations.

    Listen to your employees

    Peaceful work place. Low stress. Friendly people

    Cons

    Very bad pay. Cannot survive on this position alone

    Advice to Management

    Give raises. At least allow people with a degree in this field get paid more than 22,000 a year.

    You don't get merit based promotions, you have to apply for each promotion.

    Be consistent.

    I worked at State of Florida full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The current management will likely be out in one year.

    Cons

    The pay is low for the people doing the work. Management knows how to get money for raises when it is for them. No real performance measures. Managers are often grumpy and self loathing.

    Advice to Management

    Be happy. Quit trying to call people out for mistakes. Try to help instead.
