Great Benefits and Opportunities
Jul 24, 2021 - Anonymous Employee in Lansing, MIRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The State has many great benefits, such as flexible work schedule options, 12-13 paid holidays a year (13 when an election year), fast accruing vacation and sick time off, community volunteer time, 12 weeks maternity leave, automated bonuses at least 1-2 times a year, a cost of living raise each year, etc.
Cons
A few pull the many. This isn’t a place when work always makes sense, policies are not always the easiest or the most efficient way to do things, but what can you do? It’s the State, so nothing. While a lot is being done to improve the culture, that brick wall still remains.
