They would say good benefits. But it you pass the probation period. They don't really care about you on how you can further or grow in the state.
Cons
Coworker said the place is micromanaged but worse decision made. I never saw my supervisor, I was told two ladies were in charge of me who were white. Coworker trained me, since he has been there the longest he was treated like a king. No one was in the building Sundays and was not given a safety device. I would bring up my concerns they would not care. Everyone worked at home I was treated unfairly.

Cons
It is hard the first 2 years as step increases is small.

Pros
-Diverse environment -Big community of staff that want to help each other out outside of work -A place to retire if that's what you're seeking -Some ability to move up/promoted -"job security" which is a pro and a con because it prevents those who do not work on a daily basis/break rules un-fireable
Cons
-"retirement" money takes out a lot from your pay, making your real take home pay not much higher than regular job market -Lots of work place management acting like they are powerful dictators at times -Management will push work onto everyone and not do a lot themselves -Old systems/programs that are dinosaur age with the promise to upgrade equipment but has not had much innovation in over 30 years

Pros
Flexible boss, benefits are top notch
Cons
No work from home option
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
If you are okay with working at a company that doesn't value previous work experience. It's all in where you have worked previously within the state.
Cons
Don't get sick or need a long leave of absence for any reason. Especially if you work for the public safety division. They will immediately look for reasons too let you go even if you have doctors notes.

Everything else. Pay is basically a lie. They don’t even have simple office supplies like a notepad.
