Pros
Great co-workers, have heart they love the residents and try hard.
Cons
Where to start…they keep admitting people despite having no staff to adequately care for the residents. Days off are hard to come by. Working so short on the floor that can’t meet the demands of the residents and they get mad. Vacation forget it there is no one to give you the time off that you need or request. Want to make tons of money and loose your mind and family in the process then THIS is the job for you! Management has checked out so can’t go there for help!

Benefits are pretty good compared to Private Sector jobs. In at 8 out at 5 most days. I work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the state.
Cons
HR does NOT work for you. They are only interested in siding with management and documenting any situation in an effort to fire you at will.

Pros
It is very rewarding to make a positive difference in the lives of so many underserved, marginalized people.
Cons
Management makes decisions about how we do our jobs and how we serve our clients that negatively impacts our clients.

Pros
-Diverse environment -Big community of staff that want to help each other out outside of work -A place to retire if that's what you're seeking -Some ability to move up/promoted -"job security" which is a pro and a con because it prevents those who do not work on a daily basis/break rules un-fireable
Cons
-'retirement' money takes out a lot from your pay, making your real take home pay not much higher than regular job market -Lots of work place management acting like they are powerful dictators at times -Management will push work onto everyone and not do a lot themselves -Old systems/programs that are dinosaur age with the promise to upgrade equipment but has not had much innovation in over 30 years

All holidays off, pay is ok for job required. Great group of co-workers make the job fun.
Cons
Direct supervisor is a bi-polar, unexperienced, nasty, thinks she knows it all. Upper management has no clue how much her direct reports put up with - condescending comments, racial slurs, vulgar language.
