I have been working at State of Texas part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I get to travel to different courts in different counties. It is rewarding and I still enjoy working on different types of cases in various jurisdictions..

    Cons

Since I am helping other judges, it is part time work. I would rather be more fully engaged in working in a judicial or related dispute resolution environment.

    Advice to Management

Get input from others similarly situated as myself. We have the experience and I am certain we could take on additional responsibilities employment-wise.

Pay is not great ... but okay. Very few raises and little room for promotion. Office space is small and cramped. Computer operating system from the old days and very slow!

    Advice to Management

Too my boss, keep up the good work. To the agency leadership, recognize contributions from your managers and give them more operating room.
