    Positive Outlook

I have been working at State of Utah full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady employment, typical 8 am to 5 pm day, paid holidays, good benefits, small department, and own office.

    Cons

Utah is one of the lowering paying states for this position. Pay raises are only a few cents. Benefits have gone up in price and cancel out pay raise. Extremely difficult to raise a family on low salary.

    Advice to Management

Policy makers of Utah need to increase salary and send someone to see what worker does on a daily basis. Utah needs to a lot more money into social services, it's programs and employees. Turn over rate too high because of all these factors and case load. Due to small department size career opportunities are limited.
