I have been working at State of Wisconsin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I work at the Wisconsin Resource Center, a mental health facility for offenders. It is never boring, the facility supports my continuing education, and it is an honor to provide services to some of the most disenfranchised and vulnerable people in our society.

    Cons

We are not paid as well as the private sector. You have to be comfortable working with offenders who can present some very unique challenges, and sometimes our pay/benefits change when the political climate changes.

    Advice to Management

Please reward long-term employees by honoring their seniority with pay and/or benefits.
