I worked at Statetrust Capital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The location in Brickell is great

    Cons

The worst place to work . The owner Jose Luis Turnes will insult all the employees in a monthly assembly in which he will use as a platform to insult some employees. It's a very hostile job environment. Everyone worked in constant fear. He will yell through the stairs, elevator. The verbal abuse & harassment was daily. The chief of Staff, Lourdes Ponte is his #1 victim. She's been his mistress for over 15 yrs. He also bragged about all the money & luxury he indulged on a daily basis. He will insult all top management officials as well. I' m very surprised if he hasn't been hit with a job discrimination & sexual harassment law suit. He has family members working for him that his puppets. The best thing that happened to me was to be fired. I have the best job in the world. I work for a top rated co.

    Advice to Management

They have lost a lot of great employees with talents. He is the most arrogant, rude, disrespectful & racist human being I have ever worked for. In my life. What can you expect when he will insult, yell & insult his teenage children. The most dispeakable man I've met in my life.

    Pros

    Great location and free parking.

    Cons

Toxic work environment, its people are as poisoned as the owner and his "chief of staff""fiance" bodyguard"
The nice people are only who is new to the group, the ones that last more than 6 months are as bad as its management. The longer the worse.
No respect for personal or private life.
Owner and his elite can be classified as fascist, exploiting it people to the illegal edge.
This place must be checked by the department of labor and closed.

The listed CEO David Burgait is only a poor guy that only puppeteer for the real CEO and Owner Jose Luis Turner, who have managed to keep his scandals out of the internet.

    Advice to Management

Learn to respect people, hired a real HR professional to represent your employees and stop the micro management.

    Pros

There are not pros. This is a company that mistreats and disrespects its employees. For them employees mean nothing and are insulted

    Cons

Horrible experience. Its owner and CEO Jose Luis Turnes, is a disrespectful Venezuelan guy who mistreats and insults all his employees calling them Mongolic retarded idiots. He has no respect for anyone in his companies. He micromanages all activities and demands that his employees present to him at the beginning of the day, a detailed list of all tasks and activities performed the day before along with a list of all activities to be performed during the current day. He talks to his employees in a loud voice yelling and insulting them by using bad words and calling them peace of cheat, dummies, crazy donkeys, and stupid, even if you have been performing your responsibilities correctly.

    Advice to Management

Educate the owner and CEO, He needs to understand that people are human beings who deserve respect. Fix the mess you have created by changing priorities constantly.

    Pros

The only pro is that they pay good and the interview/hiring process is quick.

    Cons

Everything is wrong with this company, except for the poor employees that have to take all the humiliations from the CEO. He yells and insults everyone and break things (once I saw him blast a chair in the CFO's office in a outburst). But this is the daily environment here. 6 Controllers in 2 years; 5 Chief Information Officers in six months. Does that tells you something? Every day in this company is a chaos. Don't let them tempt you with money and fancy offices. I assure you that you will regret it. New hires regret leaving their former jobs; with no exception. There is no Human Resources department. The last Human Resources manager left very sad and traumatized because she felt she destroyed a lot of people careers/lives by bringing them in and then the CEO firing them for no reason or because he felt like that at the moment. If you saw Horrible Bosses movie this is a perfect example. Employees are always scared when the CEO calls them for any reason. Very stressful and horrible environment. I feel ashamed that I ever worked in here. They will send you to the Dominican Republic with little to no prior notice as punishment because they have operations there and if anything goes wrong there; you will be on a plane traveling when the issue can be solved remotely...even if it is father's day.

    Advice to Management

There is no good advice to this company's management; all the good people are gone and whatever you say, the CEO and the Chief of Staff (who is a wolf disguised as a lamb) will disregard with no consideration and in the most bullying and unrespectful way.

    Pros

Great working environment, you are given the opportunity to grow and learn in order to advance in your professional career.

    Cons

Everyone works very hard and is very dedicated therefore the environment pressures you to do well and give more of yourself than in other jobs where everyone does not care.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! The opportunity you give people and the professionalism you show is unique. I hope to return to your environment when I am back in Miami. Thank you for keeping the doors open for me.

    Pros

Good and fair compensation. Payment of salaries and contractors are of utmost importance for CEO and he makes sure that this guideline in followed to the T.

    Cons

There is no professional sense of management. CEO is on top of every move, from top to bottom of company, does not delegate, shows total contempt and disdain for the work of employees. He believes he has the knowledge in every field and discipline, and does not accept others' work, criteria or recommendations if different to his views. Yells, insults and uses disrespectful words to humiliate employees. Emotionally draining for male and female employees alike and even for his own relatives and girlfriend who work for him. Not worth the money.

    Advice to Management

Bring in qualified management and set clear boundaries within the company and its departments. Create a serious and independent human resources department that not only works for the company's interests but also makes sure that employees' efforts are addressed and respected.
