I worked at Staybridge Suites full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Easy job
-Reasonable Hours (Most of the time)
    -Reasonable pay (depending on position)
-Staff was like a small family, mostly

    Cons

-The constant blame on certain employees
-housekeeping could get away with murder but font desk is strongly scrutinized
-moving up is nearly impossible, even if you meet or exceed requirements
-Management was to focused on the Hierarchy when it came to issues which led to slow resolution. (FOM,AGM,GM, ect ect)

    Advice to Management

Focus and care for your employees, recognize and motivate your staff, not just those you favor.

I worked at Staybridge Suites part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours that were given were very reasonable.

    Cons

The whole time that I was working there, I was not paid on time and sometimes I wasn't even given a paycheck stub. There was a time when the pay dates were switched so I went without pay for 3 weeks. The owner of the hotel is very unprofessional, he would talk to all the employees disrespectfully and would tell the employees to lie to the guest. The hotel is very poorly built, during the time that I was there, there was a total of about 20 rooms that were put out of order due to things like there being no electricity in the room and etc. The cable in the rooms would constantly go in and out causing us to move the guest around several times during their stay.

I worked at Staybridge Suites full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I had leeway/trust to run the night show how I wanted.

    Cons

Management was contantly changing. Kid you not, 5 GMs in a 12 month working tenure

    Advice to Management

Find a good leader, this is a really nice property, shame to see it stagnate

    Pros

Staybridge Suites and IHG are great to work with and very professional and care about the customers. However Staybridge Suites is a Franchise and some Franchisee's do not have all the same values that corporate would like them to have and maintain. Some will do just the bare minimum to keep the franchise and not all treat employees the same way

    Cons

See the Pro's about some of the cons of a Franchisee
