I worked at Steam Whistle Brewing part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The team at Steam Whistle is positive, engaging, and dedicated to provide an outstanding guest experience AND staff experience. Perks include: awesome co-workers, discounted merchandise, FREE BEER, and so much more! You'll be a part of something really special.

    Cons

Seasonality - the summer is nuts (think, 40-50hrs minimum) and the winter can be slow. Also, tips are lower here than at other places (but that's why the hourly wage is higher).

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at Steam Whistle Brewing part-time

    Pros

This company (scratch that, family) treats its employees well - feedback is welcome, accepted and often implemented! Staff are encouraged to show initiative and given a lot of responsibility. The pay is decent, the days are always different, and the beer... is amazing!

    Cons

If you don't like being a bartender/tour guide now.... this isn't the job for you! Tips are better at other service industry jobs in the city, but that's not why the staff choose to work here. Be prepared for serious seasonality - it's CRAZY busy in the summer, and SLOW in the winter.
