    Home health and hospice

Apr 12, 2018 - Home Health Aide in Baltimore, MD

    Pros

The campus is beautiful and landscaped very nice- it presents as peaceful and calming. Independent living , Alf, and, and hospice cover all bases.

    Cons

No separation with home health and hospice for nurses. Scheduling is nasty and sarcastic and gossips with a small group of nurses about other nurses especially new staff. There is a “mean girl “ attitude with this group that is general knowledge to all yet not addressed by management. Some staff bring toddlers to work. Clinical managers offer to help but are never available when help is needed and often don’t respond to questions. Staff is sent report cards on documentation which is shaming! Productivity does not include acuity- managers only care about number- some nurses are low while others are overwhelmed. New staff are introduced into the field by nurses who complain constantly.

    Pros

Good benefits, great coworkers! Loved the residents! Beautiful grounds! Nice mission statement!

    Cons

Change is slow. Management hasn't read the mission statement and values. Some of the managers/directors need to go!!! No raises based on job performance and very little positive feedback! Fast turnover in certain departments!
