I worked at Stella & Dot Family of Brands full-time

    Pros

My experience with the hiring process was OK and so was my experience with my manager.

    Cons

Everything that happened after hiring was a nightmare. I was terminated four weeks after my hire date while I was on medical leave for a planned surgery (which was negotiated for prior to my start date). I started a new position elsewhere but have not been able to reach anyone at the company to cancel the Cigna coverage which was never supposed to take effect. Because of my planned surgery, I had pushed the start date for coverage to be after what ended up being my termination date. Now my current provider will not honor my elected coverage, because no on at Stella & Dot will terminate their coverage which should have never gone into effect (since Sept 2019). I have left 10+ voicemails, sent emails, LinkedIn messages and have received no response. MOST DISORGANIZED, UNETHICAL, WASTE OF A COMPANY I have ever worked for and I hope to never make this mistake again. Don't work here, period. And don't buy their products -- they don't care about helping people as you can see.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Stella & Dot Family of Brands part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

It was fun and good community

    Cons

They “motivated” by fear of losing titles or teams and was defeating if you were close to a goal but needed others to reach it in order to promote. Worked hard for it but paycheck didn’t reflect the payout Always changed comp plans, trip plans, reward plans. Once you got thE system down it would change again.

I have been working at Stella & Dot Family of Brands

    Pros

I really have nothing positive to say.

    Cons

So many lies have been told for so long. COVID did not bring this company down. Nor did the leadership team that left for a better opportunity last year. So terrible how they were treated — they helped build your company. So many bad decisions made for so long. So sad.

    Pros

Strong bond between employees, they are all suffering together

    Cons

Think Theranos – but fashion and jewelry CEO lies to her employees and believes her own lies CEO only really cares about the field because what few of them are left are considered revenue driving- most of them have left to companies that are actually doing well Never gives any business changing decisions a chance to thrive before they are canned and on to the next one Business is failing and CEO comes up with any excuse possible other than her poor leadership and bad business decisions Just laid off 20% of the company during world crisis Does not pay bonuses Tons of hours Way too many meetings Company is being expected to have their office in her home since she has closed the office because she can't afford it

I worked at Stella & Dot Family of Brands full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Beautiful office space if you can stand the construction noise.

    Cons

So many cons....CEO is a narcissist who looks so good on paper and in video but is horrible to work for. She really isn't for women like she claims. She is for one woman - herself. She says one thing one day and changes her mind the next and then blames it on someone else. I have witnessed her lying to the field by blaming things on her staff that she initiated. There used to be a great team running this company but everyone who was smart either left or was let go. The field is leaving and the outlook is grim. It was a great thing while it lasted, but it was unfortunately ruined by horrible leadership from the top.
