I worked at Sterling Medical full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the people who worked there at the time were nice. I'm not sure if I can fill the 20 word requirement...

    Cons

The CEO would rewrite everything we wrote (and we were a strong team of writers). His micromanagement consistently resulted in the proposal team working all night before proposals were due. The office is in a sketchy area. Promises were made in my interview that never came to fruition.

    Advice to Management

Stop the micromanagement. It's completely unfounded.

Job description is really bad -- nothing about the job matches the job description.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your site reps. Don't just fire someone because you don't want to deal with it. You kiss up to the companies you contract with and stick it to the real workers.

I worked at Sterling Medical full-time

    Pros

They are a decent company for whom to work. If you represent them well to the client organization, do your job, and conduct yourself in a professional manner, they will provide you a good salary and decent benefits. What else do you expect from your employer other than a paycheck, benefits, and to let you do your job? They never micromanaged me, usually responded to my emails, and were supportive when they could be.

    Cons

An employee in place is just that. Management appeared focused on obtaining new contracts, and renewal of contracts. Management seemed less focused on maintaining employees in place. Hence, concerns about career change or career advancement, raises, additional benefits did not seem to be a priority.

    Advice to Management

Sterling is a good company to work for. It would be a better company if management were able to put more into supporting current employees in ongoing contracts rather than their focus appearing to be primarily on new contracts and renewal of contracts.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

I guess some of my co workers were nice. that's about it.

    Cons

pay is horrible, managers are horrible. they pick favorites to promote. you don't move up, they want you exactly where you are. unless you keep kissing their butt. they make promises and don't keep them. only stay for work experience and student loans payment.
