    I worked at SterlingBackcheck full-time

    Pros

Really nice people, but until 2014 there was little collaboration across all departments which caused a ton of frustration. No proactive approach to retain clients and attention to client happened when they threatened to leave. Some strong C-level and VP -level management brought in to turn around culture and direction of company. New leadership is very much about the client and people of Sterling.

    Cons

Inconsistent pay on Account Management team. Some folks making up to 50-100k more than their peers at same title with same workload. People gossip and causes a negative and toxic work environment. Clients constantly unhappy bc technology is broken, threatening to leave, blaming account manager when it is actually the product not the people. Often times products and services are oversold to the client setting the partnership up to fail.

    Advice to Management

Need more career growth structure in place. More transparency around what each product can and cannot do, and better training for new managers.

    Pros

Sorry no pros to list. Their data collection methods are somewhat sketchy, I would not be surprised if the company has released erroneous and inaccurate information.

    Cons

They do not honor contracts signed and will nit pick innocuous reasons as to job performance.
