I have been working at Stern, Lavinthal & Frankenberg full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Managing Partner is very understanding of work-life balance. She understands that everyone has to deal with things outside of the office and is willing to work with people to accommodate their time needs.

    Cons

None that I can think of.

I worked at Stern, Lavinthal & Frankenberg full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

I was provided with great training. Although I started with no knowledge of foreclosure, they gave me the opportunity to learn and advance. Sorry I had to leave but took a position way closer to home. No more commute for me!

    Cons

Forced to use PTO when weather made it impossible for many of us to make it to the office. It was always our decision whether to come in and/or stay when it snowed but office was literally never closed.

  6. "Worst working experience of my life"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Former Employee - Paralegal in Roseland, NJ

I worked at Stern, Lavinthal & Frankenberg full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The office was properly air-conditioned in the summer.

      Cons

Where to begin? How's about the 1950's style timeclock located in the center of the office every employee had to clock into like Fred Flintstone? Or the fact cell phones were banned at our desk, and every website was blocked to the outside world (even google news)? Or maybe the constant oversight to get an unrealistic amount of work done in short periods of time it was hard to fit in time to even go to the bathroom?...

We are truly interested in hearing relevant feedback concerning our firm. Not sure however, when this person worked as employees clock in from their desk computers. SL&F has various policies and procedures in place for safeguarding the Non-Public Private Information in use ...

      Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Stern, Lavinthal & Frankenberg part-time for more than a year

      Pros

Staff is nice, free coffee and plenty of parking, holiday parties to look forward to as well as the location of the office is accessible.

      Cons

I don't even know where to begin. Over worked with little to no training and of course underpaid. Lawyers are treated like royalty as for the rest of the staff, we were spoken to like animals. Everyone here is miserable and that energy is easy to pick up on. The cubicles are also so dingy and dirty that you can't help but to feel trapped. Was given so much work to do once that I had to step out the office to cry and breath,...
