I worked at Steven Madden full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free food fridays, awesome benefits, health insurance, casual dress code, and birthday treats. Yearly reviews and raises. Good location and easy to find.

    Cons

Long office hours, extremely cliquish environment, gossiping, antagonists, overworked employees. People get fired for being a threat; while workers who show up high/alcohol (ex. in shipping ) are protected by DMF management. Unstable and unsafe.

    Advice to Management

    The truth always surfaces.

I have been working at Steven Madden full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working for a well known and respected company, location is prime, plenty of hands on experience during market weeks and during market meetings

    Cons

Upper management doesn't see eye to eye with employees, hard to communicate and get thoughts across to upper management/ HR, overworked with too many accounts and work isn't spread amongst teams fairly

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees- when we need help we really need help. happiness goes a long way. If we're unhappy then work will be miserable.
