    I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time

    Pros

My co-workers were the best ever. So much fun. Every day was hilarious. The pay was great. As long as you hit your goals you can do your job without being micromanaged. It was fun getting to meet new people every day outside your usual social circles. As long as you do your job and are well liked, you have great job security. It was genuinely my favorite job I've ever had.

    Cons

Think about the show "The Office"- a lot of what you're asked to do is a total joke, and you do it anyway. But if you have a sense of humor, it can be fun along the way. They're gradually going downhill- their education is the worst and the lawsuits are going to eat them eventually. The top 3 people at this campus are laughable crazy. They have set up a 'good ol' boys club' for maximum job security, and are just totally...

    Advice to Management

Replace upper management at campus. Realistic goals and don't put up departments with opposing goals- more campus anonymity. Get rid of those who are a drag to the company instead of letting them stay on and pull moral down. Don't let a false sense of power inflate your head and you become a crazy person making ridiculous insignificant orders.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I meet some great people working there. I was able to see a positive change in many of the students lives (I worked as an admissions consultant in the on-line division.)

    Cons

The company, however, is a boiler room. It is not, as they maintain, "all about the students" it is all about how many people you sign up for on-line college. they don't care, at the admissions management level, if the student will stay enrolled, or has the skills and abilities to succeed in college, only that they stay enrolled for at least 2 weeks.

    Advice to Management

Learn to care about your employees, drop the political indoctrination, drop the pressure-cooker tactics.

I have been working at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice people to work with. Decent salary.

    Cons

Tools to succeed rarely provided. No set training. Reflected in inconsistencies in policy and procedure from employee to employee.

    Advice to Management

Set up and conduct an informative and concise training module.

    Pros

Great co-workers, lots to do, stay busy never bored

    Cons

All responsibility is in the hands of admissions. Poor management, 90 days and you are out if you don't hit your numbers.

I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the employees are really cool and fun people to be around

    Cons

you have to sell this sham of a college to people who know next to nothing about any colleges and convince them to enroll. The price for the college is out the roof and the instruction throughout the program is a 3 out of 10 AT BEST. one of the teachers was a graduate of MUSIC teaching math.

    Advice to Management

Bunch of micro managers at this place

I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay. Some of the people that work there are cool.

    Cons

The benefits are terrible, cheap health care, good chance you will get fired when you come back from using vacation days.

    Advice to Management

Realize that you can't force someone to go to college. And that increasing goals when more then 80% of the sells force already can't hit probably means the goal is too high.

    Cons

At the end of the day there is still the pressure of any sales job.
