I have been working at Stevens-Henager College part-time

    Pros

This college accepts many students that would otherwise not be prepared to attend college. The assistant Deans and Instructors go out of their way to help and encourage the students to succeed. They prepare students to get a job in today's market without the time involved in doing fluff courses ( GE). The comradery between employees is excellent and this is a wonderful work environment .

    Cons

Pay to adjunct instructors is not the best. To work here you must have a love of teaching and helping others succeed . It is hard to become a full-time faculty instructor since enrollment determines need.

    Advice to Management

Many staff and faculty state "they have not had a raise in over 7 years." This is concerning the Murray Campus. Please show that you appreciate your staff/faculty that provide an excellent education for the students, and don't forget your adjunct instructors as well.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fair wages and plenty of parking

    Cons

This review is specifically about the West Haven, UT campus. Dishonest. Poor benefits. Myself and fellow faculty were treated horribly. One individual needed to go on FMLA but when she notified HR they illegally reported it to her supervisor who confronted her. Students know they can threaten with legal action to get grades changed even if they don't earn them. Faculty are constantly pushed to pass students regardless...

I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Allows students who cannot get into other schools to enroll

    Cons

Very expensive, questionable ethical standards with the online school, instructors and other employees work hard for little pay.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your image- starting with online leadership

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The students who want to succeed. Co-workers who work hard to make that happen.

    Cons

Not knowing what is going one from one day to the next. Sneaky and secretive top management with ideas that are ridiculous, rather than focusing on the students they have and great employees, the focus is how to get more, get them in then forget about them.

    Advice to Management

Come down from your lofty places and actually see what is going on in the classrooms and see that you have great instructors who are working hard to help the students succeed, rather than sitting in your offices creating ideas that don't work or are very impracticable. Times have changed, what worked 20 years ago doesn't work today.

    Pros

Easy job, just sell your soul to dishonesty and you have a job for life

    Cons

To many to list. This is a place you do not want to add to your resume.

    Advice to Management

Comply with federal regulations, especially those of FERPA. Stop lying to students to rip off their federal aid money. Find a conscious.

I have been working at Stevens-Henager College part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Can't think of any. In an effort to be positive, one thing that is nice is that the paychecks don't bounce. How is that for positive?

    Cons

Wow - where to start. I have been working there for quite some time. Someone, somewhere is making a ton of money and it is not the employees. Each class costs the student around $2500. Multiply this by 30 for $75,000 per online course. They pay you $1100. This is half of what other institutions pay. If you want to micro-managed, underpaid, and make next to nothing, this is the place for you :)

    Advice to Management

Increase wages - you might actually increase quality which might actually increase continuing rates.

    I worked at Stevens-Henager College

    Pros

Freedom to set teaching schedule. Able to create and/or adapt the curriculum to customize to the classes level and needs.

    Cons

More concerned with the bottom line than with education. Burger King mentality where the student is the customer and the customer can have it "their way"... at the expense of the quality of their education. Not teaching enough to make student competitive in job market. Misleading recruitment tactics.

    Advice to Management

Find a better balance between business and education.
