I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Decent Coffee, Good Co-Workers, Some Nice benefits

    Cons

Strict policies in place towards employees regarding sick time and leave, Predatory work environment, Predatory For-Profit college, Lied about valuing education

    Advice to Management

Start actually valuing your employees and education and tackle the issues. Stop lying about your non profit status as well and making yourself out to be the best of the best. Most importantly do not enforce the fake praise and joy that exists there. Everyone can see the lie for what it is. Just don't lie about what you are.

    I worked at Stevens-Henager College full-time

    Pros

    Pay, Simple Job, Nice Office

    Cons

    Strict Policies, Negative Work Environment

    Advice to Management

I've never worked with such unsympathetic and insensitive management in my life. The manager and supervisors want you to be a robot and genuinely do not care for the employees in any way.

I have been working at Stevens-Henager College full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get to work with a student population that really needs the training and skills offered at the college. You get to see people's lives change for the better. Campus employees form a close-knit community.

    Cons

You get to work with a student demographic that needs a lot more help with academics, interpersonal skills, and life management skills than traditional students. Each campus has a very different work environment from others, depending entirely on the campus leadership. Some are very positive and others bordering on abusive.

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on local campus leaders. They vary widely in terms of management skill, cultural sensitivity, and treatment of employees.

I have been working at Stevens-Henager College part-time

    Pros

This college accepts many students that would otherwise not be prepared to attend college. The assistant Deans and Instructors go out of their way to help and encourage the students to succeed. They prepare students to get a job in today's market without the time involved in doing fluff courses ( GE). The comradery between employees is excellent and this is a wonderful work environment .

    Cons

Pay to adjunct instructors is not the best. To work here you must have a love of teaching and helping others succeed . It is hard to become a full-time faculty instructor since enrollment determines need.

    Advice to Management

Many staff and faculty state "they have not had a raise in over 7 years." This is concerning the Murray Campus. Please show that you appreciate your staff/faculty that provide an excellent education for the students, and don't forget your adjunct instructors as well.

    I worked at Stevens-Henager College

    Pros

Fasted paced environment, fellow employees helpful and nice to work with. The work is challenging, and other employees are quick to help or teach you new tasks. You are given plenty of time to learn the skills needed to do well.

    Cons

Unprofessional work environment, and lots of inappropriate language used while trying to talk to students over the phone. Low student retention levels, and not special needs friendly. The work hours varied everyday, so it made it difficult to plan my family time. There was smoking at the entrance of the building, so if you don't smoke or are allergic that can be an irritation....

    Advice to Management

Offer training, and create a more professional work environment.
