I worked at Stevens Industries full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good place to work as long as Chuck Stevens was running things. There are very good people working here. Work is available during summer season.

    Cons

Management refuses to admit the company has gone downhill since the current and past president took over from the original owner, Chuck Stevens. Very hot place to work during the summer, and not enough cooling fans. During the spring/summer you can kiss your weekends goodbye since you work every Saturday from May (sometimes as early as March) through September. Lots of overtime and sometimes with no notice of it. Really not very family friendly place to work.

    Advice to Management

Fire all the current supervisors and start from scratch

  6. "Overall Steven's is a place that I chose to work just to get by until I found something better; huge turnover."

    Pros

The best reason to work at Stevens is they always have jobs. If you live in the area it pays well and everyone knows who you are.

    Cons

The downside of working at Stevens is the hard labor and the heat during the summer time. Also, they sometimes make you work weekends.

    Advice to Management

It seemed their was a huge lack of communication between the management and team leaders. The Superiors didn't understand the job flow of the company.
