    I have been working at Stifel Financial full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Firm is in growth mode, adding senior bankers, capabilities, and acquiring opportunistically. Cost discipline is not a major focus, though the firm is conservative by banking standards; lifestyle is very good for banking.

    Cons

    Firm's reputation as a lower middle market firm is a bit of a hindrance to securing larger mandates but capabilities are all in place to serve clients and move up market.

    1) Some great people within the department. 2) Bonuses are always nice & appreciated. 3) Pay is ok.

    1) Sometimes feels effort is looked down on. 2) Good ol' boy mentality from some department leadership. 3) Feels like C-suite view IA as redundant.
