I have been working at Stifel Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will get exposure to complex financial models, but not too frequently

    Cons

A lot of busy work, research, pitching, etc, and not much financial analysis because they co-manage many deals.

I have been working at Stifel Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Not a lot of PTO

    Cons

Terrible COO. High turnover. Be ready to cover 15+ phone lines, expenses for 12+ people. Salary is an embarrassment. Forget about the the policy, you will need approval for EVERYTHING you book for executives.

I worked at Stifel Financial full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Upward mobility. Job Security (you can be absolutely awful at your job and never get fired.)

    Cons

You're better off coming from the outside than dedicating your life to this firm in terms of pay. The firm only values advisors and does not invest in its Home Office employees. The compliance team who keeps the firm from getting hefty fines and out of trouble with the SEC and FINRA are the lowest paid on the street. Risk managers value quantity over quality in work. This is basically a middle school of financial services firms.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your workers.

I have been working at Stifel Financial full-time

    Pros

Colleagues are bright and have a long track record in the industry. The firm makes very capable, experienced hires. Supportive culture.

    Cons

The firm can be somewhat slow to respond to changes in the industry. It sometimes seems as though the various teams and offices are a bit siloed.

    Advice to Management

Ideally, there could be more interaction between the regional offices, and more camaraderie.

I worked at Stifel Financial full-time

    Pros

Great pay and location, benefits and perks are good

    Cons

Upper management looks down at lower level worker, they say they have parking coming out of your check but they don’t have enough spaces in the garage to offer you a space. So paying for parking everyday sucked. They do not train you fully on your position, lack of communications

    Advice to Management

Humble yourselves, listen to your people sometimes and remember you too once started at the beginning.

    Pros

Rewarded if you roll the dice, volunteer and prove your worth

    Cons

They'll cut you if you do the basic minimum

    Advice to Management

Larger bonuses for the CSA, they are the backbone
