I have been working at Stockton University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Closed for a week over Christmas and New Year, although it requires using vacation or personal time if you want to get paid. State medical benefits are ridiculously good.

    Cons

Typical liberal higher education environment, which means getting email overload on all things "progressive".

I have been working at Stockton University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stockton has a very strong union and decent salaries. There is a lot of faculty-to-faculty support. Faculty senate is respected and professional.

    Cons

Poor leadership at the dean level in most divisions. Faculty are not fairly recognized and remunerated. The faculty and administration have real problems with gender bias -- it's like the 1950s.

    Advice to Management

Reach out directly to specific faculty members who are doing a lot of program building for their insights and expertise.
