I have been working at Stonebridge Companies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

From Navin & Rita to my VP, senior leadership is present, driven and genuinely care about their associates. They really focus on Service. It's not all about financials. They also stress the importance of giving back. My VP does not micro manage and is really there to help coach and teach me.

    Cons

Honestly, I really struggled finding something to put here. I think the biggest struggle I've had was in regards to not having a regional/VP leader for Engineering, specifically. We could use more support in the field. Two people is not enough for the # of properties we have.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Also, thank you!

    Pros

Stonebridge is the best! At the end of the day, it's always about the people, right? If you want to work with good people, work with Stonebridge. In three years, I've met incredibly smart, hard-working and fun people that took the time to teach me new skills and provide me support whenever I needed it. I've worked for plenty of employers and I can honestly say that none of them compare.

    Cons

I don't have anything negative to say.

I worked at Stonebridge Companies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They franchise Marriott and Hilton properties

    Cons

Zero work-family life balance for hotel General Managers the expectation is your available 24/7/365 there is no tolerance for not working 50 plus hours a week.

They provide zero benefits to hourly employees, the hardest working, lowest paid, and there are zero perks. During the holiday's the company couldn't even purchase a small turkey for the associates. The associate holiday party the hotels if lucky might get a budget of $5 per associate to spend.

Many properties might look good on the outside but the building inside is falling apart. Stonebridge Companies once Stonebridge Investment Companies enough said.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employee, allow them a voice, and treat them as human beings. I have seen this company do some pretty horrible things to their employees there are some executives who would have no problem kicking people when they are down an out and at their most vulnerable times. Even the most loyal if they don't jump high enough without being told it's expected, they will be tossed out into the wolves to devour, without a second thought. Time and time again I have been told that we are all replaceable, expendable.

    Pros

    Hotel discounts at multiple properties

    Cons

This is one of the most micromanaging companies that I’ve ever worked for. There does not seem to be any confidence in the property-level leaders to make business decisions or to run their own teams. Corporate office gets a final say in EVERYTHING, from hiring mid-level managers to disciplinary actions on line-level employees to reviewing sales contracts. This creates a delay in information filtering and a lack of authority on the party of the property leaders.
There is also no vacation time. Only 40 hours of “personal” time are given for 1year! And after a year, you get paid for 40 hours up front, so if you take a vacation throughout that second year you’ve already been paid in their mind but your paycheck for the time you take off will be at a deficit.
If you’re in Sales, there is focus on quantity not quality. They’re more focused on bringing business in rather than taking care of current and repeat clients.

    Advice to Management

Let the people that you e hired do the jobs you hired them to do. Empowerment is a powerful thing.

    Cons

Hands down the lowest paying most abusive hospitaity employer int the meteo area. Uses illegal immigrant labor NO PTO NO sick time most employees are overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Give a crap about the employee backs you stand on. Remember tgey have lives and families too. Pay competitive wages.
