    Pros

    Hotel discounts at multiple properties

    Cons

This is one of the most micromanaging companies that I’ve ever worked for. There does not seem to be any confidence in the property-level leaders to make business decisions or to run their own teams. Corporate office gets a final say in EVERYTHING, from hiring mid-level managers to disciplinary actions on line-level employees to reviewing sales contracts. This creates a delay in information filtering and a lack of authority on the party of the property leaders.
There is also no vacation time. Only 40 hours of “personal” time are given for 1year! And after a year, you get paid for 40 hours up front, so if you take a vacation throughout that second year you’ve already been paid in their mind but your paycheck for the time you take off will be at a deficit.
If you’re in Sales, there is focus on quantity not quality. They’re more focused on bringing business in rather than taking care of current and repeat clients.

    Advice to Management

Let the people that you e hired do the jobs you hired them to do. Empowerment is a powerful thing.

    Cons

Hands down the lowest paying most abusive hospitaity employer int the meteo area. Uses illegal immigrant labor NO PTO NO sick time most employees are overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Give a crap about the employee backs you stand on. Remember tgey have lives and families too. Pay competitive wages.

    Pros

    Benefits: medical, vision, dental, 401K

    Cons

Very bad leadership, managers give unclear instructions, not much opportunity to grow, not paying high, dealing with a lot of political, HR stands for manager and not helpful.

    Advice to Management

Respecting employees is as important as respecting guests.

    Pros

If you work hard and prove yourself, Stonebridge will invest time and energy into growing your career.

    Cons

They have their shiny penny properties and the rusty ones, and they only seem to invest the majority of their time (and money) in the ones owned by Mr. Dimond

    Advice to Management

CEO needs to come back down to earth; no annual property visits? Are you joking? He also asks people to call him “Mr. Diamond”...give me a break. VP’s of Ops need to invest equal time into ALL of their properties and accomdate the needs of the properties that are struggling.

I have been working at Stonebridge Companies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The companies culture is the best one could hope for. Navin Dimond and Chris Manley have created a corporate culture that allows their hotel's to thrive. They are there if you need them and "stay out of the way" when you don't. The VP's and SVP are great to work for. They are truly committed to their employee's career development. Finally, they offer great incentives and benefit packages.

    Cons

Hiring on property managers is occasionally too long of a process.

    Pros

Generous benefit package and travel discounts

    Cons

Corporate and HR are horrible. Abusive management behavior is encouraged. Stay way from HR, they don't do anything.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees "on the line".
