    Pros

    Some of the best experiences I had, really professional staff and costumers. The food is amazing and fresh and really completes the ambiance

    Cons

    Work really hard, to not enjoy my family and friends.you have to work holidays and birthdays and paid vacation and it's at night where most of the action happens

    Advice to Management

    Need an older staff to take job more seriously, and ensure everyone works to thier best ability

    Pros

    Decent hours during season, great returning customers, chef was nice, kitchen crew was GREAT.

    Cons

    They changed stuff around every month, the pay for bussers was 1/4 of what the servers make even though bussers saved the servers butt alot of the time regardless of what they think, older customers are real spoiled, servers think they are better than others. picking favorites for the schedule

    Advice to Management

    Give everyone a shot at advancement, not just the people you favor. Don't abuse your power an show it in the schedule.

    Pros

    The best things about working BOH is that you get payed hourly. They are pretty flexable with hours. If you like to cook its a good starting place.

    Cons

    The benefits for BOH were dropped. The management does its best with what it has.

    Advice to Management

    If your employees arent happy your atmosphere will suffer as well. Better control over employees and product is key to loss prevention, not cutting portion size, raising prices, and denying raises to deserving, hard working individuals.

    I worked at Stonewood Grill & Tavern full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Menu is relatively expensive offering steak and seafood ensuring higher check average. You can have less tables and still make great money. Your surrounding staff is typically very experienced in restaurant.

    Cons

    Management changed, part of the reason for leaving the company. When I visit I see new management again and it seems to have hurt their business overall. Making the restaurant not as busy. Seen regional managers visit, party and are very unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your servers and bartenders! Most of my career we had a fantastic staff - most have gone on to sales / management / and career jobs. Customers see long lasting employees and regulars want to make a connection with the front of house staff. Be more lenient and keep the faces of the restaurant longer and happier.

    Shifts are evening only (only open for dinner service)
    Average shift is 4-5 hours
    Great money for the responsibility
    YoungER staff fun to work with

    Extensive training
    Communication issues between staff and management
    No reward for hard/good work
    No benefits
    Lack of direction from management

    Communicate better with employees and reward hard work

    Pros

    You will learn a great deal about making recipes from scratch and get a good hands on experience.

    Cons

    The company over the years has grown and is becoming more corporate which brings with it a lot of restrictions and routine.

    Advice to Management

    The pay is what it is, but you have to really have a passion for working in the hospitality business. The role of management is more than just being in charge, this position is more for those that wish to develop young men and women into professoinal roles. Team building is an absolute must.

    Pros

    walk-in and get hired on, especially "in season"
    busy "in season"
    laid back work atmosphere
    flexible schedule
    nice clientele
    closing shifts offer the opportunity for the most money (usually)

    Cons

    pay period (bi monthly) ends on Tuesday but paycheck doesn't deposit until the following Monday
    after tip out (20%) and taxes you can figure giving up 1/4 of what you make
    3 table sections can make for bad money nights
    Off season is DISMAL
    other corporate companies offer TONS more incentives/benefits

    Advice to Management

    stop with the ridiculous over-staffing (7 servers scheduled for 20 heads is ridiculous)

    The quality of food and beverage are excellent

    Cons

    Managers work 60 hour weeks with no time off from November thru May in Florida. Open all holiday's except Christmas day

    Advice to Management

    Realize that people have lives
