      Pros

Willing to invest in employees, lots of opportunities for advancement. Environment promotes positivity

Staffing is a current problem, upper administration needs to work harder to handle this rather than over-burdening current staff.

      Management Neglects Nightshift

Jul 11, 2008 - Staff RN in Topeka, KS
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Good camraderie among most staff at least on my unit, Good opportunity for advancement, good potential for growth and modern technology to assist in caring for patients

      Cons

Pay for a Staff RN coming straight out of school is not in line with what other facilities of a similar caliber are paying. There are many problems with the supply chain, it's hard to care for patients when you don't have basic supplies. Night shift is neglected by management especially in regards to special events for things like Nurse's week. Special barbeques and food deals are offered to the Day shift but night shift gets neglected.
