    Pros

Energetic, young workforce. Decent corporate culture.

    Cons

Some people in leadership positions are in them based solely on tenure - not on ability. CEO is an egomaniac.

    Advice to Management

Evaluate the effectiveness of everyone in a leadership and make changes, shake things up.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Strata Decision Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

An excellent environment for young professionals looking to begin their career in tech, healthcare, and to some extent finance. The company also has a fun atmosphere to work in.

    Cons

Lacks genuine thought leadership and mentorship opportunities for long term employee growth. Executive leadership is like a muscle car, very fast and good looking, but can't round corners. Lastly, high work expectations are not commensurate with compensation relative to other top implementation consulting practices in the industry.

I have been working at Strata Decision Technology full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Collaborative atmosphere, including among staff who have been here for over a decade as well as new employees: everyone is willing to hear new ideas and partner to do what's best for our clients
    - Benefits and perks: strong focus from management in fostering a positive work environment (actions, not just words) through sports/activity clubs, Friday happy hour events, tools that enable employees to celebrate/congratulate each other and connect on common interests outside of work, maternity leave and accommodations for nursing mothers, etc.
    - Open communication across all levels of organization: executive team roll their sleeves up to get the job done; identifying and addressing areas of opportunities is just as encouraged as celebrating successes
    - Products and offerings: Valuable, proven and highly rated solutions for healthcare providers; business strategy is focused on making a difference in healthcare

    Cons

This a con only for people who don't like to work hard: a small company means everyone has to be willing to get in the weeds and work with a sense of urgency and focus. There aren't layers of layers of analysts so everyone is involved, which enforces ownership and collaboration, but may not be a good fit for those who expect to delegate work outside their scope.

    Advice to Management

Continue along the same path and maintain your focus on hiring people that fit this culture.

I worked at Strata Decision Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of activity and young people trying to do their best and succeeding. It is a fantastic entry level position within the field of healthcare software.

    Cons

One of the least age-friendly companies I have ever worked for and the CEO's reasoning - it's what other high tech companies like Microsoft, Apple and Google do. Sad to say the least but probably so true.

    Advice to Management

Best prepare well as you don't want to experience looking for a job in high tech past 45

I have been working at Strata Decision Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Strata has a great culture with a focus on having an open, collaborative work environment. There are a growing number of opportunities for professional advancement within the company with new initiatives put in place. Even as Strata is growing at the rate it is and teams are becoming larger, you still feel like you are making contributions on a daily basis that do not go unnoticed. Strata is continually developing new systems and procedures to make life easier.

    Cons

The work-life balance can be tough sometimes as the client base grows, and there are definitely still growing pains as the company is piloting and implementing procedures.

    Pros

    Excellent work-life balance, good location.

    Cons

3% 401(k) matching? (50% up to 6%, so effectively it's 3%). With a 5 year vesting period? Really? Props to using Vanguard, but a better matching would encourage more employees to save for retirement!

I worked at Strata Decision Technology as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great learning opportunities. I had a great mentor that balanced giving me autonomy but also mentorship. Awesome org culture, many opportunities for contributing to the team and feeling like a team member.

    Cons

Some normal growing pains. Focus on sustaining and building people operations is definitely in the plans for Strata and that will be a valued asset to the organization.
