    Pros

Strata has a great culture with a focus on having an open, collaborative work environment. There are a growing number of opportunities for professional advancement within the company with new initiatives put in place. Even as Strata is growing at the rate it is and teams are becoming larger, you still feel like you are making contributions on a daily basis that do not go unnoticed. Strata is continually developing new systems and procedures to make life easier.

    Cons

The work-life balance can be tough sometimes as the client base grows, and there are definitely still growing pains as the company is piloting and implementing procedures.

    Pros

    Excellent work-life balance, good location.

    Cons

3% 401(k) matching? (50% up to 6%, so effectively it's 3%). With a 5 year vesting period? Really? Props to using Vanguard, but a better matching would encourage more employees to save for retirement!

I worked at Strata Decision Technology as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great learning opportunities. I had a great mentor that balanced giving me autonomy but also mentorship. Awesome org culture, many opportunities for contributing to the team and feeling like a team member.

    Cons

Some normal growing pains. Focus on sustaining and building people operations is definitely in the plans for Strata and that will be a valued asset to the organization.

    Pros

Strata has good middle management, especially on the product side. The benefit package is also pretty healthy.

    Cons

There is uncertainty about long term vision surrounding technology. Senior leadership does not seem to value developing product talent.

I worked at Strata Decision Technology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Casual dress, young crowd, alcohol after 4 on Fridays.
Good entry level company to get experience and move to better. Good internal training department but no real help or benefit available if you want to pursue a degree at a college or university. Lots of emphasis on getting customer billing in so work hours can be long if you have internal meetings, training or any other responsibility that could take you away from customer work. Management consists of - very smart energetic people. They are new managers though with little experience in managing people. Its intense. Work life balance is a bit of a teeter totter. If you want to stay with the company and if you want to grow with the company be ready to put in very long hours. Since the office is in the AON Center by the lake, I recommend you live very close to the loop so you have most flexibility to work long hours. Besides Millennium Park is right there along with lots of other things to do.

    Cons

Lots of hours, no college tuition, poor internal communication. Not really for older individuals more settled in their career. Lots of travel and Strata has to become like family
