Pros
Weekly events in the winter that bring in a lot of people. The staff is always changing but friendly and gets the job done. Free ski Pass was always a plus!
Cons
Nothing bad to mention. The tough part about Vermont is that a lot of the jobs are seasonal, so a bad winter can lead to a poor turn out.

Pros
Great location in southern VT. Beautiful mountain and surrounding area. Great place to raise a family; top-notch school options! Very welcoming staff. Great employee perks for both summer and winter.
Cons
Finding housing is tricky. As a resort community, it's not cheap to live close by. Make sure you have good tires and all wheel/four wheel drive on your vehicle. And you must have your own - no public transportation.

Pros
Fellow ski instructors are fantastic. For the most part it's a collaborative and collegial environment, everyone is teaching because they want to be there. The staff side of the ski school is friendly and they are willing to accommodate special requests for leave or an emergency. I would highly recommend the Stratton ski school for a part time, weekend pursuit.
Cons
Don't expect to be paid much, remember, they're paying you to be on the slopes and you get a season pass. If it's a slow day with students and you're new, you may not get a class all day but you still have to be present for the line-up unless released for the entire day. There's no pay if you don't teach. However that gives you time to ski!
