I worked at Strike Force Protective Services part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You sometimes get to see a concert or show. That’s the only good thing there really aren’t any pros. The company is terrible.

    Cons

Extremely low pay, rude and unprofessional managers. They lie and talk down to people. Their buddy’s get the best pay and positions. Just a terrible management. Terrible way to get scheduled for jobs by calling and calling then told there are no more positions.

    Advice to Management

Clean house and get managers that can speak to people and explain what the job is and not just put people in places with no way to communicate. Pay a decent wage

I worked at Strike Force Protective Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to see or meet a lot of celebrities and work alongside them. You get free meals often but it's never guaranteed. The summer posts outside are as easy as sitting in a chair and enjoying the weather for 12 hours. The inside concert posts are very fun, active and easy.

    Cons

Variable hours. One week you're working 60 hours and the next week you're working 16 hours which makes it hard to pay your bills. You work full time hours often but are still considered part time.

    Advice to Management

Give everybody radios on Randalls island. Secure contracts outside of concert venues so you can give better hours in the wintertime.

    Advice to Management

continue to hire officers who are committed to the job and job protocols in order to provide quality service to any client.

I have been working at Strike Force Protective Services part-time

    Pros

Strike Force is one of the few to still have "At-Will" employment. Meaning you work when you want, if you want to. It works perfect for my school and family schedule. Management only expects you to know what "Security"really is and to complete your job. There is company transports you to far sites and gives travel pay for the very far sites. The pros far outweigh the cons

    Cons

Long shifts, long periods between breaks and you cannot leave your position unless relieved. Processes told to complete, can be done more efficiently, some managers are not open to suggestion.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your employees, each team is different, has different capabilities. When we come together, we still need to work as one cohesive unit and that does not happen most times. Those who do not take the job seriously should be eliminated, because it is work, not playtime and their slacking is going to get someone hurt.

Be more lenient when someone is sick.

I worked at Strike Force Protective Services part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I cannot think of a single good thing about this job except that it is a temporary buffer until you find something better.

    Cons

The management of this company is extremely terrible. They have barely any communication skills with workers.
    - There is no hands on training from the management/bosses to their employees on how to actually do the job they are hired for, they rely on passed down information from other workers.
    - They make you wait for a relief after your shift, but unlike a normal company if that person calls out the boss man will not tell you that they aren't coming until 20 minutes after they do not show up. (multiple times weekly)
    - There are quite a few "bottom of the barrel" employees hired here. It makes those that actually do go to work because they want a job look bad.
    - The company has a keen ideal to delay giving their employees paychecks on time.
    - If you work overtime you have to keep an eye on your paycheck and fight to get paid the extra hours that you worked when they "forget" to add it on.

    Advice to Management

You need to get a completely new Management staff. Background check all employees before you hire them. Learn to actually talk to your employees.
