I have been working at Strom Aviation full-time

    Pros

The managers/leads are almost as dumb as the contractors that Strom hires. Its hard to promote a team environment when its a commission based job. Commission structure is out of reach and very hard to hit each week. They score you on how many clients you submit instead of how many people you actually get hired. The president will have an all team meeting telling everyone that there will be no bonuses or raises this year...

    Cons

Listen to your recruiters, people don't leave because they are disgruntled they leave because they are unhappy that they put in the efforts and are not rewarded for it. Hire a manager who knows something about recruiting. Change the commission structure so recruiters can make more money.

    Advice to Management

Treat your recruiters like there is a future with this company, quit the scare the scare tactics and pay them as they are valuable and not just replaceable with the next guy off the street to bang the phones..

    Pros

This company has a great culture.

    Cons

Strom is lacking a robust ATS system.

    Advice to Management

Stay laid back and keep your work- life balance. However with the type of recruiting required an ATS is absolutely necessary.

I worked at Strom Aviation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good place to gain experience

    Cons

Managers are horrible, have no clue how to run their respective offices. Why these people were given positions of power is beyond me.

    Advice to Management

Find people better suited to lead

I have been working at Strom Aviation full-time

    Pros

The contract work can be a stepping stone to get experience in aviation. If you are willing to sacrifice your personal life for a better career down the road this is the place. Base pay is low, but overtime makes up for it.

    Cons

Contracts are a good short term plan but not a long term career. Family life will suffer for the greater good of the company.

    Advice to Management

Increased communication to all levels of management about employee well being would help to retain the good employees that would like to make the company a career.
