    Pros

    Brilliant minds
    Innovating the healthcare industry
    Competitive salary

    Cons

Dont develop as much as they say they do
    HR has too much power
Lots of red tape, too slow to get things done

    Advice to Management

Upper ELT mgmt does not help out as much as they should with BILT leaders. Losing too many people that would make a difference and they will see the impact unfortunately

I worked at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you like "old school" selling this is the place for you - but it wasn't for me!

    Cons

Management group definitely stuck in the "old boys" mentality. Poor communication of Management to Materials to Sales. End result is that the customer is quite often left in tough situations. Found it very unsettling to do have to potentially resort to not being truthful to customers. End result, it takes years to develop a good reputation and only a minute to destroy one. With that, I left my position. If you're a "Type A" personality that would sell your Mothers grave plot - this is the company for you.

    Advice to Management

While the upper management ranks talk a good game, it's the people in the middle management that are hurting this company from potential increases in revenues and morale. Would consider initiating some outside resources to review morale, sales conduct, management conduct, etc.

I worked at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall a positive experience. No micromanaging and comprised of overall hardworking individuals.

    Cons

Unless you are in sales be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen. Stryker is part of changing industry but most don't embrace the change. Process changes and rolled out without the proper preparation and communication. Alot of inefficiencies that could be addressed to improve the business.

    Advice to Management

Needs to be more accountability across all departments and communication. Valued employees go unnoticed and unengaged and tend to be part of the turnover. Also, look to those who are in the roll to take advice from because they seem to have the best ideas and perspective.
