I have been working at Stryker full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly people and 401k plan is nice, the 2 weeks vacation and 5 day pto is also good to start with

    Cons

Below average pay, gotta be in the clique to be successful. Pay is the same no matter difficulty of job

    Advice to Management

Raise pay to compete with fortune 500 companies, and learn to separate work and home friendships

I worked at Stryker full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits. Great coworkers. Pretty good atmosphere and group of people to work with. They have regular times to relax and unwind with happy hours, bbqs and other events.

    Cons

There are certain people (same goes for most businesses) that know how to get promotions (notice how I didn't say earn promotions). These 20 something year olds do not have experience outside of Stryker and think they are the masters of the universe when they really have no clue what they're doing. Beware of them! If you have a choice, go to a group that is not run by said people and your career will thank you for it.

    Advice to Management

Don't promote youth over experience. It's the quickest way to lose talent. Be mindful of the number of people leaving certain groups and realize that people don't leave jobs, they leave managers!

I worked at Stryker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free coffee, lots of social functions

    Cons

New management went to the dark side and terminated 50 people while the company is expanding, building new facilities, getting tax breaks, giving raises and bonuses and then kept all the contractors.

    Advice to Management

    Get a clue

I have been working at Stryker full-time

    Pros

Good pay coming straight out of college. You get to see and do a lot of interesting things. What you are doing is important.

    Cons

They over work you. And also expect you to study at home during your free time without pay which is difficult to do with the long hours.

    Advice to Management

Figure out a better schedule for sales reps in the territory. This would allow them to get better sleep schedules and be more efficient.

    Pros

Exciting and rewarding work. Day to day activities are never the same. Opportunity to move into different divisions if approved.

    Cons

Work life balance and managers will screw you when they can. Managers are non existent and have no clue what goes on in the territory. You will stay on the same pay unless you move into a rep spot of one opens

    Pros

Big company, lots of money, lots of products, well known in hospital and pre-hospital in the US

    Cons

They are old school with the benefits, and they do not pay enough base salary to live in the Northwest. It takes forever for them to make a change. Medical benefits cost the employee way too much.

    Advice to Management

great sales people should be compensated in a great way. No caps on commission, and higher base salaries.

    I worked at Stryker full-time

    Pros

    Good company culture, good benefits.

    Cons

Company went completely down hill when they started to lay off left and right. I reapplied for a job, which I was very qualified for. When the HR rep tells you..."Physio-Control is not a parking lot for former employees to return and wait out their retirement, " that is outright blatant discrimination!

The review did not allow me to input the last date I was employed.

    Advice to Management

Current or former employees add incredible value..
