I have been working at Stuart Weitzman full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Shoe allowance, cross brand discounts, modern office, canteen.

    Cons

Toxic corporate environment, no meritocracy, corporate office far west.

Everything the mother company preaches is far away from reality.
It was a great brand and it is ruined by incompetent new management with no values or ethics. The few knowledgeable and nice people were sent away making it a miserable environment.
You never know when the person next door or in your team will be fired, making it difficult to come to work every day living in costant fear.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so fake and childish and take responsibility for your actions.

I worked at Stuart Weitzman full-time

    Pros

Shoe allowance, a FEW decent junior employees

    Cons

I enjoyed working for a large company with multiple opportunities, however, there is an heir of entitlement and hierarchy within departments. I worked closely with the wholesale team and there was a severe separation between departments with sales having a somewhat superiority complex. There have also been multiple times where actions supposed to be “funny” have been taken too far, at the best unprofessional and at the worst completely inappropriate. It was a struggle to maintain a hardworking communicative environment when this attitude was not shared with upper management.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to upper-level management and how they fail to properly manage employees and prevent them from growing within their roles. Emotional abuse runs rampant at this place.

    Pros

Creative environment, beautiful office, generous employee allowance and discounts across multiple brands, in building cafeteria, great views, the name is good for your resume

    Cons

There seems to be a big discrepancy between management and lower level employees. Salaries start underpaid and they do not give promotions or raises unless you are a senior level or higher (deserved or otherwise)...

Not only do you feel financially unappreciated, but there is a definitive “clique” mentality that seems more fit for a middle school cafeteria than it does a multi million dollar corporation.

Unfortunately most of the smart nice junior employees with potential end up leaving after a few years.

    Advice to Management

This might be fashion, but more than that it’s a business. Act like it.
