I worked at Studley (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a high growth environment which is fast paced. You will be surrounded by very smart people with a decent amount of knowledge sharing.

    Cons

This is a NYC brokerage firm which can be a tad cut throat. The tone from the top is a bit every person for themselves. The company was purchased by Savills. That seemed like a good fit but there are struggles. Long hours.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in the people.

I worked at Studley full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I worked for more than five years in the New York office and made some really good friends. You are paid well to deal with the stress and different personalities of the brokers. It is true that many of the staff are often in the bathroom crying - but I was told upfront that is why they pay so well. Excellent benefits and pay. Staff gets to participate in the yearly summer outing, which is a great opportunity to learn and have fun as well. Holiday bonuses from corporate are generous, as are the ones from the brokers. Meals were constantly provided by the company and/or brokers, and car service was available for the very late nights at the office. You have to work hard, but once they realize your value, they will respect you.

    Cons

Staff is considered overhead and they never let you forget that the brokers pay for your salary. Very stressful atmosphere. Very competitive, even amongst staff. Overtime is not uncommon - tons of late nights. No real training structure in house, but they did encourage you to use money allotted to you for training outside.

    Pros

    -flexibility

    Cons

Working for this company was so stressful and management for lease administration/audit talked down to employees and always think he knows best.

    Advice to Management

If you provide adequate training and interact with employees, the turnover rate would decrease.
