    Pros

    Lots of vacation. (Up to 6 weeks after 7 years)
    Culture is nice.
    Good benefits and 401k.
    Ideas will be heard and acted on if pushed.

    Cons

    Very weak raises while the Subsea 7 is buying up companies.
    Promotions come with really bad raises.
    Projects always feel rushed and late.
    Getting high marks on performance means very little.
    Management is invulnerable to layoffs or firings while the workforce gets hit.

    Advice to Management

    Stop creating new management positions all the time for each other.
    Recognizing people with made up awards is not the same as paying them more.

    heavy process, heavy hierarchical structure, no reward mechanism aside from money

    stop inverted pyramid, the pyramid must be strong at the base, not the other way around

    Powerhouse company in subsea construction, great benefits, great direction and planning from upper management

    Cons

    what is work life balance? no opportunity for bonuses, raises or promotion in the last few years due to market downturn

    Advice to Management

    consensus within the company is that most of middle management is useless, upper management should take a good look at who they have managing their departments and how much work they actually put in.
