    Pros

It's money I guess. You're getting paid at least, and you get "discounts" on food as well as up to two $1 6-inch subs during your shift.

    Cons

The hours are always longer than you are "scheduled" for. The owner never had anything nice to say, and would only interact with employees when he wanted to yell at them for anything. Never work for Subway; it's an awful job.

    Advice to Management

Look over the footage of the video cameras at the stores and actually see how employees feel about working there. Double check that owners are fairly paying their employees. I know several people who have been working there for over 3 years now and are still making minimum wage.

    Pros

The manager was a nice guy, but that was it. his hands were tied regarding raises, job security (if a 'secret shopper' came and you put more then 6 black olives, tomatoes, banana peppers etc) on a sub you would be fired on the spot. the only way we could get a raise is if the store made higher sales, regardless of your quality as an employee

    Cons

I had to work the dinner rush all by myself, there was literally a line out the door for hours. the only way we could get a raise is if the store made higher sales, regardless of your quality as an employee, so I was stuck with minimum wage indefinitely. If you failed to say 'welcome to subway' within 3 seconds of a customer walking in you could get written up, if that happened to a secret shopper you would get fired. this job was the worst.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating your employees like worthless disposable people! I used to eat at subway all the time before i had a job there, but now that i know how they treat their employees I refuse to give them my business.

    Pros

    Great regular customers.
SOME good people to work with IF they survive and can deal with management/the toll taken on there body + moral.

    Cons

    Minimum wage.

Was told we were allowed a break BUT they can fire us for any reason and that NO ONE chooses to take there break. You must stand any where from 4 hours to 10 hours with out ever sitting down depending on how long your shift is. Some can't handle this and its sad.

The management sits on there butt playing on facebook a lot or goes to the bank aka shopping for hours. If the management does decide to work the counter the management in question will yell at every one for not being fast enough even messing up your sandwiches in the process of doing there one sandwich.

There is also no feed back the management just insults you and curses about you behind your back or mostly within ear shot but never directly to you. All you get is a friendly smile and get to hear the management complain about some one else.

Management changes their mind like the wind and will mess with your schedule by either A. Loading on to many hours to handle or B. cutting your hours to nothing depending on their mood that day. DO NOT ASK FOR A DAY OFF!!!! Management will show you there calender and tell you to please mark in advance any days you may need off and that they will do their best to accommodate you. This is a trap. You will suffer consequences. These consequences also very like the wind but they will come.

It is a very political system. I would say after you have been there for several months to a few years you get used to it but that would be a lie. Unless of course you thrive on drama in which case you'll love this job.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and their needs. You can get more quality work out of your employees by having them take a break every two hours then by driving them through modern day slavery.

Act professional. Don't act like a teenager talking behind peoples back and encouraging others to do the same. Give constructive criticism to them personally. Every employee doesn't need to hear why you think this other person sucks.
Also if you say feel free to write down a day you need off don't get pissed off that they do. In fact just stop screwing with peoples schedules all together because you FEEL like it that day.

    Pros

decent pay, plenty of hours to go around

    Cons

not paid enough for the amt of work you have to do. it's still fast food.

    Advice to Management

hire people that actually know how to manage, stop playing favoritism, and nepotism is rampant in privately owned franchises and its unfair

    Pros

work/life balance. comfortable place to work if you are not looking to develop and are complacent with where you are in life. Free items throughout the year Thanksgiving: turkey, Fall: Apples, Summer: Watermelon

    Cons

old and fat workforce which increases insurance cost for all employees
1000 - handicaps parking spaces (aren't we supposed to be an "eat fresh" brand? Healthy?
    TERRIBLE benefits (dismal)
TERRIBLE pay (well below industry standards - which accounts for the most of the under performing employees) - you pay for what you get
uneducated leadership - secretaries promoted to director levels
no experience or diversity among leadership/managers/director - long standing employees that are only aware of the "Sub"way and have no perspective of other ways of doing things out side the box
too cheap to invest in technology

    Advice to Management

management is a joke and full of uneducated family members, friends, and employees there for 20 years. Fire top management and hire people that know how to run a company.
