I have been working at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work part time while I'm at school and I applied there because I was desperately looking for a job closer to campus. I applied and got a call back a less than a month later to set up an interview. The work is really straight forward and easy but can be a little overwhelming at first but after you do it enough it becomes second nature. My manager was/is also amazing, I trained to open and he was so patient and helpful the entire time. I love all my coworkers and cover shifts a lot so I get a decent amount of hours.

    Cons

You're experience can depend greatly on who owns your store. My store at school is pretty laid back, sometimes people get away with stuff that I feel they shouldn't but I guess that's the trade off. I did work briefly at a store when I came home where the owner took his job waaay too seriously and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much.

I worked at Subway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good atmosphere, Decent Co workers, and most customers are very respectful.

    Cons

The location I worked at had a very irritable Manager basic requests and questions would send her into limbo. In addition, There were no sanitation buckets anywhere this establishment did nothing to sanitize during shifts.

    Advice to Management

Lose this neurotic Manager and keep the store clean please just because know one has gotten sued yet dose not mean it can not happen. Also, I would hate to have someone in our community suffering or worse because of a food born illness. In conclusion, this is the reason why I left this company, looking foreword to opening my own Establishment in the area I did not want my face associated with a food born illness.

    Pros

    Good hours and good employees

    Cons

Bad pay with long demanding days. No support from franchisees. Horribly ran organization with no head office support. Franchisees typically have no experience running a business.

    I worked at Subway part-time

    Pros

Got food a lot, lots of hours and easy to schedule ahead of time. At times doesn't require much work and is quite laid back.

    Cons

Upper management wasnt the best, not friendly and strict. Pay stayed very low. Hard to get significant raises.

    Advice to Management

Let the workers work and manage the store themselves a little more, get rid of lazy people that slack and don't work, keep and reward the ones who do.
