Great hours. Healthy food. Working with friends can be fun.

    Advice to Management

Don't understaff and the managers should be nicer to employees.

I worked at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You learn amazing customer service skills, how to deal with incredibly rude customers. You learn to value speed and having a good attitude while working. Laidback environment, my manager Rick was amazing. Very cool guy, will go out of his way for his employees as long as you work hard. I had a lot of fun when I worked there. I would love to work there again if they would pay me more.

    Cons

Pay was too low for everything you have to do.

    Advice to Management

Management is awesome, I have no advice!

I worked at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They let you take home a sandwich every day, which was pretty nice but got tiring after a while.

    Cons

The pay was poor and they avoid labeling you as "part-time" so they don't have to give you benefits

I have been working at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    its a source of income

    Cons

hrs change without notice, pay raises are not given, refuse to pay overtime hours with overtime pay ( willing to pay you regular time to compensate you on your next check). hours on pay check do not match with daily clock in/out times. hateful work environment. Employees are not respected and treated with dignity.

    Advice to Management

be consistent with what employees are expected to do. if something is one way one day it should be that way daily. treat employees with dignity and respect. No one should be talked down and problems should be discussed with the employee directly, not with other employees at all.

I worked at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    easy and straight forward job.

    Cons

Sometimes they would put me on 30-35 hour work weeks (usually 10-15) without warning and I was in high school at times
Customers can be very hard to deal with

    Advice to Management

Make sure franchised stores get the same benefits or at least some of them. My store didn't give a free 6" for 4 hours. I had to pay full price for everything
