    free meal every shift

I have been working at Subway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The boss and manager genuinely understanding and kind. They work with you to accommodate all needs and the team is full of great people. The food is actually fresh and delicious plus all the work can be done with little to no experience going in, making subway the perfect place for a first time worker.

    Cons

It took 2 months for me to be fully aware of what to do because I learned everything by watching someone else. The training process could have been more direct so I was aware of all my responsibilities right from the start.

    Advice to Management

Have more strict rules about how and who is to be training all the new employees.

I worked at Subway full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People and Manager were great to work with my shift leader and the manager were the main reason I stayed for so long.

    Cons

No health insurance ,retirement plan, disability insurance, dental, optical. You were referred to the marketplace for coverage. Slow to pay for raises. Owner was oblivious of things or just didn't care. There were a few workers that were favored and treated with speciality. The other workers were just herded like cattle and treated with little respect.

    Advice to Management

Help the workers. Listen to them. Help the manager. Take on some of the responsibility too. Spread to thin.

I have been working at Subway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Helping all customers choose a healthier way to their eating habits.

    Cons

At this location I'm to... I feel used, like all work and clean-up gets put directly on me. Out of the 4 workers who work at the joint, I'm the only one with 3 hours a day out of 2 days in the week

    Advice to Management

    Better scheduling

I have been working at Subway part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not as bad as fast food when busy
Easy job (if you're trained correctly)
    Flexible schedules

    Cons

There is way too much on the managers
    Very crappy pay!
I was paid 10.00/hr to be a STORE MANAGER, and the only time I got good hours was when I had no employees
    Turn over rate is terrible

    Advice to Management

Pay more!! It might make people stay! I've been there a long time, and get talked to and treated like crap from upper management. Looking for new job
