I worked at Subway full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Super company to work for if you love making sandwiches for people who are too lazy to make their own sandwiches.

    Cons

You have to make sandwiches all day and you come home smelling like bread and dusty old cheese mixed with broccoli farts.

    Advice to Management

Don't tell me that I can't take the leftover bread home so I can feed my ducks. They need food too.

I worked at Subway part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Got discounts on food, pretty flexible with my hours.

    Cons

Barely ever got a raise "profit margins are big enough", what you smell like after your shift cause of the bread and other foods.

    Advice to Management

Bring on one more employee every shift, so you are not having to rush everything you do and get blamed by the customer for being slow.

    Pros

You meet a lot of new people. You'll have fun working there. You learn lots of new stuff and and you get to meet lots of customers.

    Cons

Having to finish everything on a certain time. Most of the time they're rushing you and they look at all the bad things you've done when you've done so much good things.

    Advice to Management

Take care of what you have to do

I worked at Subway part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you get fun coworkers that pull their weight, it can be a fun job. Making sandwiches can be fun after a while, mostly in how quickly you make them .

    Cons

Nightmare when it's busy if there isn't enough prep, running out of stuff, angry customers. Then you have to clean everything and rest the store, dishes can be a drag. Nothing too rough, just tedious and annoying.

    Advice to Management

It helps to have a manager that is hands on and will do work right along side you instead of sitting in the office all day on facebook or smoking in the back. I really think those things can wait until slower hours, but who knows.
